Sycamore refers to several trees, often large in stature (some over 120 feet high or more) with a mottled bark. The English sycamore is a tree in the maple family sometimes called a plane tree.

Sycamore is a creamy white wood, often quartered to show a lace or fiddleback pattern. It is used for furniture and craft as well as plywood.
