Bubinga Wood

The Wood:

Bubinga is a heavy, hard wood usually ared to deep brown in color with a dark grain, and high contrast yellow sapwood like cocobolo. It can have a straight grain, but the irregular grain and figured boards are prized and usually veneered for furniture or musical instruments. Its color and working properties make it a valuable wood for ornamental applications.
