Artist Biography

Todd received his B.S in Forest Management from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1980.  In 1997 he visited his family in Houston Texas for Thanksgiving.  He got together with a long-time high school friend James Burger (Jim).  Jim invited Todd and his wife Lynn to his house for coffee on a Sunday morning.   He took them into his 2 car garage filled with wood working tools and machines.  Jim's father was a master wood craftsman and taught him how to make wooden pens.  That morning, Jim made 2 pens, one for Todd and one for Lynn.  This started Todd on the path to truning wood pens.

In 1998, Todd and Lynn opened Cascade Artworks and posted a simple internet site with Todd's wooden pens and Lynn's stained glass art.  Todd's pens have been sold to clients across the county as well as overseas.
