Artist Biography

With an early love of woodworking, construction, and drafting, Tarik Yousef built his first table at the age of twelve. Now, many years later Tarik is still at it, designing and building fine furniture pieces out of his Columbus studio.

In conjunction with his self taught woodworking experience, Tarik also graduated from The Ohio State University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Drawing inspiration from early American, European, and Japanese furniture makers, who skillfully used hand tools to craft some of history's finest furniture, Tarik's design theory is based on ingenuity, simplicity, and beauty.

Utilizing his unique talents, creativity, and knowledge, Tarik intends to become one of the country's premier fine furniture makers.
