Artist Biography
I began my journey in woodworking in 1994. While still in high school, I got a job building fireplace mantels. I quickly discovered my interest, in the scrap wood pile and made my first box. It was made out oak, with mitered corners.
I continued woodworking for the next several years building mantels, and cabinets. In 2002 I made a career change by attending the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. The next 7 years I patrolled the streets of my native Greenville County, while getting married to my wife Dawn and having three kids Lelia, Rachel, & Andrew. On my off duty time I began building my current home shop. I was constantly taking custom cabinetry commissions from other deputies as my brief Law Enforcement career was coming to a close.
In July 2008 I had come full circle. As a Deputy Sheriff I learned to pay close attention to the details whatever they may be. I adhere to traditional proven joinery techniques providing heirloom quality work. I now offer to you my avid passion for boxmaking, and Fine American Woodworking. |
