Artist Biography

Brenda has been working with wood since the mid 1960's. Her early endeavors carving were instructed by Genjii Ishihara in Japan and Rudolph Vargas in California. She has also attended many woodturing symposiums over the years.

Brenda has shown her work in prestigious juried and invitational exhibits all over the USA, and her work is featured in many books and other publications, as well as being part of museum and private collections all over the world.

Currently her focus is on the foot of the vessels she turns from wood. As the piece is lifted , a surprise is discovered at the base.
